How do I fill in my customs form?

New standards are required for the customs declaration when sending parcels outside the UK or the EU.

The declarations must be more precise with an associated category for each item (HS Code correspondence). For this reason, on Happy-Post.com, we are progressively updating our customs declaration form according to the country. Thus, after having indicated the nature of your article, you will have to select the category among the list which will be proposed to you.

How to use the new form?

1/ Indicate the nature of your parcel

2/ Choose the language in which you want to declare your items; this is important; if you choose FR but your item is described in English, it will not work

3/ Describe your item (e.g.: Plate, Book, Chocolate...); You should choose one word.

4/ Select the category that is closest to your item in the menu that appears.
If "No result" is displayed, you should try to describe your item differently. E.g.: avoid clothing, prefer "Pants" or "Tee shirt";
You should also avoid brands. Ex: instead of "Playstation" you should indicate "Console".

5/ Indicate the country of origin

6/ Indicate the quantity

7/ Indicate the unit price
